RE: [phpnw] The Next Facebook?

Hello Dave,
It's great that you believe in the idea well enough to post and look for help to take it to the next level, however it's only right that web developers (being PHP/.Net) will require beer/food which also requires money.
I hate to break this to you but you may believe in an idea, but a developer may not. If you really believe in the concept I'd recommend getting a business loan, or going on Dragons Den then hire a team of developers to get this idea done.

Delayed April fools?

Re: [phpnw] dedicated hosting

Hiya
I've used both Rackspace and United Hosting based in London for a few
years and both have been excellent. Both companies have support staff
who are very helpful and quick to respond to problems.

The Next Facebook?

Hi,

I am not a web developer, however I have come up with an idea for a
social networking site that I believe could potentially interest as

I would recommend bytemark as well. We have hosted servers with them for
over four years without any major problems.

Re: [phpnw] dedicated hosting

Only who to avoid from me: amenworld.com. 2nd 3 day total outage in 6
weeks just happened.
When you call support, you can't actually even speak to anyone from
their co, its a call centre and they just raise tickets.
Total outages go unacknowledged for > 24 hrs no matter how many tickets
you raise.

UkFast or 34sp both of which in are based in manchester are very good.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a good UK based dedicated hosting provider.
SSH/root access is a must. A high bandwidth limit would be nice. Ubuntu
distro preferred.
Any recommendations from anyone?

Trainee Developer Role in Carlisle: PHP, Drupal

Vision+Media are pleased to be partnering with Carlisle-based Hydrant

their career along.

Re: [phpnw] dedicated hosting

I use [link] and find them very good indeed.
Generous bandwidth, good spec machines, very informative about work being
carried out, etc. Good support where I've needed to use it.
